I had my second round of chemo today. Met with Dr. Greenwald too! What a dear. I feel so safe in his care! Susan took me & this session was much easier than the first time. She is my anchor & helped me relax. No panic attack this time! Mimi came to visit & sit for awhile. Then, Kat came & hung out with me. Very comfortable.
Lindsay picked me up for our "workout' at the Athletic Club (an amazing "gift" from the Cancer Center for 10 weeks!) It always feels good to work my body! As we were leaving the 'towel boy' called us "Starsky (me) & Hutch" (Lindsay)~ We laughed & both instantly knew that those were our new 'names' HA!
Yesterday I went for an amazing walk with Jill on the beach (low tide) for over 2 hours. It was fabulous to feel the sand on my feet, the sun on my body, the sound of the water on the rocks, & the waves crashing on to the shore! And, of course, chatting with Jill is so EASY & effortless~ so great to have that special time!
I also had the opportunity to visit my peepes in L&D (after my lab draw)! I miss work so much~ It was nice to say hi to EVERYBODY!
Rosalie is safe in Delhi. I have spoken with her a couple of times. She is living in a young womens working hostel. Getting comfortable with the culture, the heat, & the geography. I miss her so much AND I know she is going to have an amazing summer!
I am anticipating my down days this week as Friday, Saturday, & perhaps Sunday..........Sadly I will miss Solstice (which is HUGE in Santa Barbara!) So, Happy Solstice to one & all! xo
Also, I want to say a HUGE Thank YOU to those that have brought/delivered all the fabulous food! Amazing! Please check out the JULY calendar~ as we have a long haul to go. Chemo for 4 1/2 more months, then surgery! My next Chemo day is July 1st. I am anticipating that the 2nd day after chemo for about the next 4 or 5 days is when dinners are the MOST needed. Thank you all so so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! XOXXOXO
