It is Friday evening & it is finally cooling off a bit. Thankfully! This has been such an amazing week! I had three very special visits! On Wednesday morning a dear friend came over for Tea & we had a lovely time reconnecting after a brief hiatus. Sometimes our lives take some interesting twists, turns, & detours~ It is so lovely to know that a 'friend" is still there! Thank you "B" for being that 'silver lining"!
Later, that same afternoon I picked up one of my oldest & dearest friends from the train station~ Jeannie! We have known each other since right after High School & worked together for many years in Malibu! Her family was "my" family. I was the "6th" sister. We had not seen each other for 10 years. As soon as I picked her up & we were heading home it was like we had seen each other yesterday! It was like that for the 3 days we spent together! We stayed up until midnight 'catching up" & gabbing. The mornings we lounged around in our PJ's looking at old photos, "catching up" some more & giggling just like old times. We went for long walks on the beach, having great meals,(thank you, Jeannie for taking us to Ca Dario!) & having an opportunity for her to get to know Susan! It was truly amazing to have this incredible time together! Thank You Jeannie for the gift of "YOU"!
This afternoon a neighbor of mine from "Olive Street" came to visit~ Kristy! Kristy & her family moved to Costa Rica 4 years ago! They are currently back in SB so that their daughters can finish high School & begin college. Susan, Kristy, & I were able to catch up for hours in the "Garden House". Again, it was like I saw Kristy yesterday! What a gift!
I am so blessed to have had the opportunity to spend quality time with these amazing women & know that" Most people walk in and out of your life, but only friends leave footprints in your heart."
