It 's October!

I can't believe that it is October first! What an extraordinary four + months it has been! In so many ways I feel blessed beyond belief~ An amazing partner, two incredible children, fabulous friends, and, a community of support that is absolutely beyond compare. I will forever treasure this time of friendship, love, & abundance. Yes, Chemo SUCKS big time, but in between are so many incredible moments! Again, 'Thank You' to my "community" for the GIFTS that you all are!
This Wednesday, October 7th, is my LAST Chemo! Number 8 for those of you who are counting. I know that next weekend I will be back in my "bed cave" but then , when I come out of the chemo Fog that will become a memory....................YES! My dear friends Jeff & Kathleen are coming to visit from Palm Springs as The fog is lifting~ what a wonderful treat to look forward to! (Jeff & his brother were my neighbors when I was 12!)
I now officially have a surgery date~ November 5th! I am so looking forward to Phase ll on this journey! We met with Dr. Grafton & Dr. Soares this week & I feel like I am in very capable hands.
Rosalie is now back in school (at Northwestern) combining film & art. We speak/text/email everyday. BUT! I can't wait to see her, hold her, & hug her, when she returns for her 21st birthday & Thanksgiving (same day this year!)
Theo has been so supportive this whole summer. I treasure our time together. He even told me that he is sorry that I have cancer but it was a gift to have all this time "hanging out together". What a cool young man! Next week is his Homecoming Dance. I hope I can get out of bed to take pictures of him (& his friends) before the event.
