Summer

I am finally coming out of my "own private fog". The last few days have been filled with sleep (lots of that!), Acupuncture, reflexology, Matzo Ball soup, & quiet visits with friends. The Chemo "hit" on Thursday night. I took my antiemetics & 1/2 of Ativan & checked out. Sleep is preferred over nausea! Friday morning Laurie (Laura Angelina!) did a fabulous session of acupuncture. Jill picked me up & put me back to bed with a bowl of her Matzo Ball Soup. Kat brought me Ginger Ale (Canada Dry, of course!) & hung out with me on the bed ~ she can always get me to laugh~ Lindsay, also, came by & allowed me the space to rest & talk jibberish, Laurie came by with rice (perfect rice!) & rubbed my feet & also allowed me to drift in & out of consciousness. Maggie came by in the afternoon & did a marvelous session of reflexology..... & then back to sleep for me! I encouraged susan to have dinner with Maggie, JO, & Laurie. I knew I was going to sleep & she needed some "fun".
I slept until about 1 PM on Saturday & thought it would be fun to walk through the Park after the Solstice Parade. It was great to see people & "Summer' but, truthfully, it was a bit much for me. Back to bed........... Until this morning. OH~ & did I mention that I was craving a burger from Dargan's? That tasted so good!
So, today, is a new day. It is officially summer~ the sun is bright, the garden is amazing, the apricots are ripe! I am ready for a walk with Luka. I love the days when I feel like ME!!!!!!!!
