Lovely Friday

I have not blogged for awhile~ so sorry. I have been feeling so great & have been so busy that I truly have not had time! I would never have guessed that I would be busier not working than working FULL TIME!
I actually taught a mini/intensive Childbirth Class for 3 nights. I can't tell you how much I miss assisting families in labor & teaching. It was truly a privilege to get to know these 8 families & educate them about the birth process! AND, they didn't even bat an eye with my bald head.
As usual, we have had some amazing dinners & lovely evenings chatting with friends. I love having this time to just BE with people~ what an extraordinary gift!
Valerie came & made her famous Gumbo! So delicious. I am amazed & honored that our friendship has withstood the "true test of time".
Carola & Shawn made a fabulous mushroom risotto. Fantastic! I just love those gals!
As always, Jill made her "wickedly supreme" Matzo Ball Soup for My "Evil Friday" after Chemo. I'm telling you nothing else does the trick for that day or so.
Laurie & Maggie did their healing acupuncture & reflexology too! That truly does make FRIDAY so much easier to tolerate! Thank you , my angels!
On the Fourth of July I was surprised to feel so well after Chemo ,on Wednesday, the 1st. We headed up to Jim & Janice's for a festive fourth! Lots of wonderful people, great food, incredible desserts, & a fantabulous view of the Fireworks over the water! Thank you Jim & Janice! Oh, & did I mention they have the most amazing home in Santa Barbara!?
On Monday, the 6th, Rosalie & I Skyped for over an hour. It was so wonderful to see her smiling face & talk about all things India! She is truly having the experience of MANY lifetimes!
Ali & Geoff & Liz came over on Tuesday. We ate Ali's unique & fantastic split pea soup as well as Liz's baked chicken, potatoes, & a wonderful broccoli salad! Lots of laughs were had by all! What fun!
Wednesday I was able to go to a Staff meeting at the hospital & see so many of my friends & colleagues! What a treat! AND, I was able to support my Task Force. I miss my "peepes"
Last night Susan made her "killer" Eggplant Parmesan . It REALLY is the BEST Eggplant Parmesan EVER! Stef , Lindsay, & Theo helped us enjoy the spectacular Italian feast!
This morning Starshine , Luka,& I enjoyed a lovely walk around our" hood"~ great chatting & good exercise. Then I surprised Theo at the "Bean" for an iced blended & a "kiss" from my son.
Leah & Peter came to visit today! So great to see you both! AND, they gifted me UGG boots that are special for me! Light Pink with.... tiny little Pink ribbons on the ankle! How cool is that?!
Well.........Edie & Kat are coming over to "cook" dinner tonight. It will be a magnificient surprise, I am sure!
Tomorrow we are going to go up to the Valley for a picnic & winetasting (not me :( ) I am thrilled to spend the day out with friends & enjoy the sun , the views, the "gift of gab"
